Le CALACS L’ESPOIR des Îles offers diversified services
to women 14 years and older years, who have been subjected to sexual
aggression.

Individual Encounters
• Establish a personalized intervention plan that functions
best to fit the needs of the person
• Help them to regain confidence in themselves
• Help them to regain the power to take back there lives
• Help them to overcome the consequences of aggression
Support
Groups
• Share their experience with other women
• Avoid being alone
• Help them break the feeling of isolation and loneliness
• Understand the impact, the place, and the consequences of
aggression
• Help them to decide their objectives and to identify their
strengths and resources
• Help break the wall of silence
• Help the victim readapt to their body and sexuality
• Help them regain confidence
• Help them decide what they want to change about their lives
and the ways they can achieve this
Accompaniment
Support :
• Explain the judicial process
• Help in the preparation of the victims testimony
• Support and accompaniment through the whole process
The designated center (Hospital)
• Assure first contact for the benefit of the victim
• Give the victim a chance to talk
• Give the victim time to define their needs and to make the
appropriate decisions
• Accompany the victim through the forensic and medical exam
• Pass on necessary information to the victim
• Assure a psychological follow-up
